Darren Dang serves as OCERS’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) leading the agency’s technology strategy, including the development of a new Pension Administration System, enterprise automation, data analytics, and cybersecurity enhancements.

With over 25 years of public-sector leadership at the intersection of technology, finance, and governance, Mr. Dang is nationally recognized for advancing AI, data analytics, and digital transformation. Prior to joining OCERS, he served as Deputy Court Executive Officer and Acting Chief Data Officer at the Orange County Superior Court, managing a $270 million budget and spearheading initiatives such as AI-powered virtual assistants, real-time operational dashboards, and statewide-standard data infrastructure.

Mr. Dang holds degrees from MIT, UCLA, Caltech, and the Wharton School, and has served on advisory groups for the California Judicial Council and the National Center for State Courts. He is a passionate advocate for modernizing public service through innovative, secure, and data-driven technologies.
