New Headquarters Building Project

Overview

New Headquarters Building Project

OVERVIEW

The Orange County Employees Retirement System (OCERS) is building a new headquarters facility in Santa Ana, California to better serve its members and staff. This modern administrative building will be approximately 65,000-70,000 square feet and designed with 21st-century workplace standards, including offices, meeting spaces, and a public Board hearing room.

Located at 1200 N. Tustin Avenue, the project replaces OCERS’ current facility with a more functional, efficient space that supports long-term operations and enhances community engagement.

OCERS is working with experienced design and construction partners to complete the building’s design and move into construction. Recent plans include features such as a welcoming public plaza, thoughtful landscaping, and flexible interior spaces for collaboration and public access.

This new headquarters reflects OCERS’ commitment to sustainable, modern public service facilities that support both its workforce and the retirement system’s ongoing mission.

What This Means for OCERS Members

For members, the new headquarters means more reliable service over the long term. The facility will support how OCERS staff work today and how services continue to evolve, which helps the organization respond to member needs more efficiently and consistently. Members who visit OCERS in person or attend Board meetings can expect clearer public access and more appropriate space for hearings and meetings. This project focuses on building the right environment to support daily operations, protect continuity of service, and ensure OCERS remains well-positioned to serve members for decades to come.
