Patti Gorczyca is a recent retiree from the County of Orange and was appointed to serve on the Board of Retirement on June 24, 2008. Ms. Gorczyca currently serves on the Private Markets Committee.

Ms. Gorczyca brings 33 years of public finance and management experience, having served as a policy maker, public executive and financial advisor. She is currently employed as an Assistant to the City Manager and works for the City of Los Alamitos.   

Ms. Gorczyca served as an Administrative Manager for the County CEO where she managed the County’s Strategic Focus program and special assignments such as the County’s pension and retiree medical liabilities. She served as Chief of Staff to Supervisor Pat Bates and Policy Advisor to Supervisor Bill Campbell.

Prior to her return to the County, Ms. Gorczyca formed PMG Financial Consulting and served as its principal consultant. She was also a Senior Managing Consultant for Public Financial Management, Inc. (PFM), a financial advisory firm to governments; Financial Manager to the County Sanitation Districts of Orange County; and Assistant Vice President for Evensen Dodge, a financial advisory firm to public agencies.

Patti’s 19-year career at Orange County included seven years in CEO Public Finance managing numerous debt offerings and capital planning efforts. She also served in the Office of Management and Budget and as a planner in the county’s Environmental Management Agency.

Ms. Gorczyca served on the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Debt and Fiscal Policy Committee and Subcommittee on Tax Policy. She is a member of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO).

Ms. Gorczyca holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Planning/Public Policy from UCI. She has been married to Gary, an attorney, for 32 years and has two grown sons, Robbie and Danny.
